The Alba Bagpiping Approach
Firstly, we cover basic movements in piping and in all forms of our music. Integrated into these lessons are learning the parts of the practice chanter, monotone rhythmic exercises, timekeeping, marching, written music theory & basic practical maintenance.
As students master the fundamentals to 5 tunes, we then begin to cover higher complex music & rhythms, the transition to the bagpipe using a traditional bagpipe goose whilst mastering bagpipe pressure, tuning, advanced marching, history & traditions of our music.
