The world’s favourite Great Highland Bagpipe maker

McCallum Bagpipes and McCallum pipe chanters have been crafted since 1998, and over the years added a range of products including the McC² Solo Chanter designed by Willie McCallum, a McCallum ‘Bruce Gandy’ pipe chanter, McCallum Black Acetyl Bagpipes, McCallum Classic Collection Bagpipes and a growing range of MacRae Bagpipes, and MacRae pipe chanters and practice chanters by Stuart Liddell.

They also have an extensive range of McCallum practice chanters, MG Reeds, McCallum folk pipes and have designed Scottish reelpipes, smallpipes and Irish uilleann pipes in partnership with Fred Morrison.

Purchase bagpipe parts directly from the maker, order bespoke bagpipes, and Piper hire.

Bagpipes and bagpipe parts are traditionally made from African Blackwood or
similar woods which these days are in short supply and expensive to buy. However at Ayrshire Bagpipes, the majority of products are made from acetal, imitation ivory and stainless steel. Blowpipes, mouthpieces, stocks etc can be made from almost any material and will not alter the tonal quality of any traditional wooden bagpipe. All parts are individually crafted by Ayrshire Bagpipe Company in Ayrshire, Scotland by pipers for pipers.

The Ayrshire Bagpipe Company was set up in 1990 by Brian Mulhearn, a stalwart
of the Scottish solo piping scene. With the attention to detail, passion and
individual touch that only a small independently run business can achieve, the
Ayrshire Bagpipe Company has gone from strength to strength.

"I’m delighted that my experiences over a lifetime of playing bagpipes at the highest level have led me to develop a unique product line that allows you to enjoy your piping. When developing Highland Reeds bagpipe products, I have one aim in mind – to give you great, steady tonal quality, every time you play.

Products are hand-assembled and set-up prior to dispatch; they arrive at your door ready to play and they are guaranteed against mechanical failure for two years.
